Certificate Awarding Body: NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society)

Academic Curriculum of DOEACC 'O' LEVEL

DOEACC ‘O’ Level Course is a foundation Course of DOEACC Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 Year (2 semesters of 6 months each). The next level IT course of DOEACC Society is DOEACC ‘A’Level which is equivalent to an advanced diploma course in Computer Application. The course starts in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice is published in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland about 1 month before commencement.

Objective: The Objective of the course is to prepare candidates for the DOEACC examination by imparting the required knowledge and skill.

Recognition: Recognition has been given by the Government of India to DOEACC ‘O’ level examination conducted by the DOEACC Society as equivalent to Foundation Course in IT for the purpose of employment to the posts and services under Central Government.

Eligibility: 10+2 passed or ITI Certificate passed (one year after class 10).

Project Work: Projects in the DOEACC Scheme are an integral part of the curriculum to qualify for a certificate. There is one project after the completion of the 2nd semester. No marks are assigned for this, but Candidates are required to carry out the project successfully. The head of the Institute will submit a project completion certificate in the prescribed format for issuing the pass certificate to the DOEACC Society for the students who have cleared all the papers and complete the project work.

Examination:

1. Theory Examinations:

DOEACC “O” -level theory examination is conducted twice in a year (in the month of January and July) by DOEACC SOCIETY, New Delhi. There are many examination centers all over India. The list of exam centers will be available while collecting the exam form. Students can choose one of the exam centers according to their convenience.

The full mark of each paper is 100 and the exam duration is 3 hrs. The examination fee for each theory paper is Rs. 750/-.

2. Practical Examinations:

The is one practical paper for DOEACC “O” Level Course. Appeared or appearing all the theory papers is the necessary condition for the practical examination. Practical Examination is conducted at the Institute under the supervision of DOEACC Society, New Delhi. Students need to provide the option for appearing in practical examination while filling up exam form with payment of additional practical examination fee of Rs.300/-. The duration of each practical examination is 3 hrs. Important dates regarding the examination are as follows:

Result of Examination:

The result of the DOEACC ‘O’ Level examination is published on the DOEACC website https://student.nielit.gov.in/ normally after 2 months of completion of the exam. Students can check their result from this website and download. Students can also ask for the result of the examination to the Institute. Results will be sent to the candidates from the DOEACC Society individually. The result will be provided in the form of a Grade. The mark scored in the practical paper is not counted for calculating the overall grade of the exam but, clearing the practical paper is the necessary criteria for awarding the certificate.
